Growing Guide
Position in bright, indirect light for the strongest growth, although this plant also performs well in lower light than many houseplants. Avoid prolonged direct midday sunshine through glass, which may scorch the foliage.
Allow the compost to dry well before watering thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. During autumn and winter, reduce watering as growth naturally slows. Avoid leaving the pot standing in water, as excessive moisture is the most common cause of root problems.
Indoor Placement
Its upright habit makes this an excellent choice for living rooms, bedrooms, home offices and hallways with natural light. The larger pot size is particularly effective as a statement plant on the floor or displayed beside furniture where its vertical form can be appreciated.
Good to Know
The thick, fleshy leaves store water, helping the plant cope with occasional missed waterings. Wipe the foliage occasionally with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and keep the variegation looking its best.
