Sansevieria zeylanica, commonly known as Bowstring Hemp, is a striking indoor foliage plant with upright, lance-shaped leaves marked by attractive silvery-green horizontal banding. Growing Guide
Allow the compost to dry out between waterings, as this plant is more tolerant of dry conditions than excessive moisture. Water sparingly during winter when growth naturally slows. Position away from prolonged direct midday sun, which may scorch the foliage, and avoid leaving the pot sitting in water.
Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during the growing season according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Indoor Placement
Its upright habit makes Sansevieria zeylanica an excellent choice for smaller spaces, shelves and corners where a vertical accent is needed.
