About this product

Sempervivum Mix – Mixed Houseleek Selection (13 cm Pot, Approx. 20 cm)

Plant Highlights: Mixed selection of colourful evergreen rosettes • Excellent drought tolerance once established • Ideal for rockeries, alpine troughs and containers • Produces offsets to form attractive clumps • Year-round architectural interest

Overview

Sempervivum Mix is a mixed selection of hardy houseleeks, chosen for their striking rosette shapes and varied foliage colours. Individual plants may differ in size, leaf colour and markings, creating an ever-changing display while sharing the same compact, low-maintenance habit.

Supplied in a 13 cm pot at approximately 20 cm in size, these evergreen alpines are perfect for rockeries, gravel gardens, alpine troughs, green roofs and decorative containers. Over time, they produce offsets that gradually form attractive colonies.

Growing Guide

Plant in a sunny position with sharply drained soil or alpine compost. Good drainage is essential, particularly during wet Irish winters. These hardy succulents are ideal for raised beds, rockeries and containers where excess water drains away freely.

Water sparingly while establishing, then only during prolonged dry periods. Avoid overwatering, especially during the colder months, as wet conditions are more harmful than dry ones.

Seasonal Care

Remove dead outer leaves as needed to keep the rosettes tidy. Mature rosettes flower once before naturally dying back, but they are replaced by the surrounding offsets, allowing the clump to continue expanding.

Why We Love It

A mixed selection of Sempervivum offers a wonderful variety of colours and textures in a compact space. Their sculptural rosettes provide year-round interest and require very little maintenance once established.
