Overview
This mixed selection of Sempervivum, commonly known as Houseleeks, offers a variety of attractive rosette-forming succulents in a range of foliage colours and patterns. Depending on the individual plant supplied, leaves may be green, silver, red, burgundy or tinged with purple, often changing colour with the seasons.
These hardy alpines form compact rosettes that gradually produce offsets, creating attractive colonies over time. Their neat, architectural habit makes them perfect for rock gardens, gravel planting, alpine troughs, green roofs and patio containers where excellent drainage is available.
As this is a mixed assortment, foliage colour, markings and flowering characteristics will vary between individual plants.

Growing Guide
Position
Plant in a sunny, open position where the foliage receives plenty of direct sunlight. Excellent drainage is essential, making these plants ideal for raised beds, rockeries and containers.
Watering
Water sparingly while establishing. Once established, Sempervivum requires very little additional watering and should never be left sitting in wet compost.
Soil
Grow in sharply drained soil or a gritty compost mix. Avoid heavy, moisture-retentive soils, particularly during winter.
Pruning
Little maintenance is required. Remove any dead lower leaves and spent flowering rosettes after blooming. Individual rosettes flower only once, but surrounding offsets will continue to grow and fill the space.
