Growing Guide
Position
Place in a bright room with plenty of natural light. A position close to an east-, west- or south-facing window is ideal, provided intense midday sun is filtered. Good light encourages strong, healthy growth.
Watering
Water thoroughly when the top of the compost feels dry, allowing excess water to drain away. Reduce watering during winter when growth slows, and avoid leaving the roots sitting in water.
Feeding
Feed monthly with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer to support healthy foliage growth. Feeding is rarely needed during winter.
Indoor Placement
Ideal for bright living rooms, conservatories, garden rooms and spacious home offices where there is room for the plant to develop. Its upright habit makes it an excellent floor-standing specimen.
Why We Love It

- Large, elegant leaves add height and architectural structure.
- A long-lived houseplant that becomes increasingly impressive with age.
- An excellent statement plant for bright interiors.
Good to Know
Older leaves may naturally split along the veins as they mature. This is a normal adaptation that helps the foliage withstand air movement and does not indicate poor health.
