Tillandsia (Mixed Varieties)
Mounted on Natural Wood
Plant Highlights: No soil required • Unique sculptural foliage • Mixed selection of air plants • Ideal for bright indoor spaces
Overview
Tillandsia, commonly known as Air Plants, are fascinating epiphytic plants that grow naturally attached to trees and rocks rather than in soil. This mixed selection is supplied mounted on natural wood, creating an attractive living display that suits contemporary interiors.
Each plant forms a distinctive rosette of slender leaves, with shape, size and colour varying between varieties. Some develop silvery foliage, while others are greener, depending on their natural adaptations. Mature plants may produce colourful flower bracts and blooms, although flowering time and flower colour vary across the assortment.
As this is a mixed collection, every plant is unique, making each display slightly different.

Growing Guide
Indoor Placement
Place in a bright position with plenty of indirect light. A bathroom, kitchen or other naturally humid room with good ventilation is ideal, provided there is sufficient daylight. Avoid prolonged direct midday sun and keep away from radiators or other heat sources.
Watering
Unlike conventional houseplants, air plants absorb moisture through their leaves. Remove the plant from its display if necessary and soak or thoroughly mist it when the foliage feels dry, allowing excess water to drain away completely before returning it to its position. Good air circulation after watering is essential.
Humidity
These plants appreciate moderate to high humidity. In drier homes, occasional misting between soakings can help maintain healthy growth.
Feeding
Apply a diluted fertiliser formulated for bromeliads or air plants occasionally during the growing season to encourage healthy foliage and flowering.
