Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Star Jasmine, is an elegant evergreen climber prized for its glossy, dark green leaves and masses of highly fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. In summer, the plant fills the air with a sweet jasmine-like scent, while its foliage turns bronze-red in winter, adding year-round interest.
Flowering: Abundant clusters of creamy-white, star-shaped blooms appear from late spring through summer.
Care Tips: Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Water regularly during dry spells, especially when newly planted. Provide a sturdy support such as a trellis, wall, or pergola. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth.
Best Location: Perfect for training against warm, sunny walls, fences, or pergolas in the garden. In containers, place on a sunny patio or balcony. Indoors, grow in a bright conservatory or sunroom with good airflow.
