The Grow It Round Tree Stake 180cm (71in) is a robust wooden support for helping newly planted trees and larger garden plants establish securely. Measuring 180cm long with a 40mm diameter, it provides greater length and thickness than the smaller 120cm and 150cm stakes in the range.

The wooden stake is pressure treated with a non-toxic preservative for improved outdoor durability and is made from FSC® certified wood. Driven firmly into the ground and paired with a suitable tree tie, it provides practical support for small trees, plants and roses while their root systems establish.

How to Use

Choose the position of the stake carefully and drive it firmly into stable ground so that it provides a secure anchoring point.

When installing beside an existing root ball, take care to minimise unnecessary root damage.

Attach the tree or plant using a suitable tree tie, positioning the tie so that the plant is supported without being held excessively tightly against the stake.

Check the tie periodically as the trunk or stem develops. Loosen, reposition or replace it when required to prevent rubbing or restriction.

Part of the 180cm stake needs to be driven into the soil, so the final support height above ground will be less than its overall length.

Good to Know

This 180cm Grow It Round Tree Stake has a 40mm diameter. This is thicker than the 35mm diameter used for the 120cm and 150cm stakes in the same range.

For effective tree support, use the stake with a suitable tree tie and inspect the support regularly as the tree establishes.

Tree ties should not be allowed to become restrictive as the trunk increases in diameter. Periodic checks also provide an opportunity to make sure the stake remains firmly anchored after strong winds or prolonged wet weather.

Care & Maintenance

Periodically check that the stake remains secure in the ground.

Inspect the tree tie for excessive tension, deterioration or rubbing against the bark and adjust or replace it where necessary.

As with natural timber used outdoors and in contact with soil, inspect the stake over time and replace it if deterioration prevents it from providing reliable support.
