The Spear & Jackson Elements Weed Fork 4053NB is a compact garden hand tool designed for breaking up compacted soil around shrubs and plants. Its three-prong head makes it easy to work between established planting where a larger garden fork would be impractical, making it a useful addition to the tool kit for everyday bed and border maintenance.
The fork features a heat-treated and hardened carbon steel head for strength and durability. A hammer-finish powder coating provides improved resistance to rust, scratches, humidity and alkalis in the soil, while the clear-lacquered, weatherproofed ash wood handle is built for regular garden use. Push the three prongs into the soil and work the fork gently backwards and forwards to loosen compacted ground. Its small head is particularly useful for cultivating around shrubs, plants and other established growth where space is restricted.
Work progressively through the area rather than forcing the fork against large stones, thick roots or other hard obstructions.
Remove soil and plant material from between the prongs after use. Allow the tool to dry before storing to help maintain the carbon steel head and wooden handle.
