Description

The AMES Carbon Steel Planting Spade is ideal for digging precise holes in dense soils. The extra-long, narrowly designed head makes it perfect for deep-rooted shrubs and perennials. Uniquely forged from a single piece of high-quality carbon steel, meaning no weld lines or weak points, for optimal strength and performance. The head includes our innovatively designed Comfort Step foot treads, that are wider and larger, with added grips for a secure and comfortable foot placement.

Designed to last, our carbon steel has been specially tempered to withstand greater force without deforming, with a lacquered finish to protect against rust.

The shaft is made from ethically sourced FSC® certified ash wood, complete with an ergonomic D-shaped handle and rubber grip for ultimate comfort. The handle and head connection is double riveted for maximum strength and a secure connection.
