Plant Highlights: Elegant trailing stems • Heart-shaped silver-patterned leaves • Compact and easy to display • Ideal for hanging pots and shelves • Low water requirements once established
Overview
Ceropegia woodii, commonly known as String of Hearts, is a graceful trailing succulent grown for its slender cascading stems and delicate heart-shaped leaves. Each leaf is attractively patterned with silver-grey marbling on the upper surface and often flushed with purple beneath, creating year-round interest.
Its long, trailing habit makes it perfect for hanging planters, high shelves and plant stands where the stems can cascade naturally. As the plant matures, the trailing stems become increasingly impressive, making it a popular choice for both new and experienced houseplant enthusiasts.

Indoor Placement
Position in bright, indirect light, where the foliage colour and compact growth are at their best. It will also tolerate some gentle morning or late afternoon sun, but avoid prolonged harsh midday sunshine.
Allow the compost to dry between waterings and always ensure excess water drains away freely. As a succulent, it stores moisture in its leaves and stems, making it well suited to homes where occasional watering may be missed.
Good to Know
The trailing stems can be left to cascade naturally or carefully wound around a support for a different display. Repot only when the plant becomes rootbound, using a free-draining succulent compost and a container with good drainage.
