Bluebellvine

A fast-growing tropical climber producing a wonderful display of 5cm (2in) blue flowers from mid to late summer. The ideal plant for climbing up an indoor obelisk and adding structure to the room.


Sow seed on the surface of a free-draining, damp seed compost and cover with a layer of compost or vermiculite, 6mm (1/8in) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag at a temperature of 19-28°C (66-82°F) until after germination which usually takes 7-14 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.


Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 9cm (4in) pots and position in a well-lit room. Once roots fill this pot, set into final container and provide climbing supports.
