Growing Guide
Light
Place in a bright position with plenty of natural light. A sunny windowsill or bright conservatory can suit many cactus types well. Avoid placing the arrangement in dark corners, as insufficient light can lead to weak growth.
Watering
Allow the compost to dry thoroughly between waterings. Cacti store moisture and are better suited to periods of dryness than constantly damp compost. Reduce watering during darker winter months when growth slows.
Compost and Feeding
Use a free-draining cactus or succulent compost to help prevent excess moisture around the roots. Feed occasionally during active growth with a suitable cactus fertiliser, following the product instructions.
Routine Care
Remove any damaged growth carefully and rotate the arrangement occasionally so plants receive even light. Avoid overhandling, as some cactus varieties have fine spines that may be difficult to see.
Indoor Placement
A bright living room, home office or conservatory can provide a suitable position for a cactus arrangement. Its compact form makes it useful where a small decorative plant display is wanted, provided it receives enough natural light.
Good to Know
This is a mixed cactus arrangement, so individual plants may differ in shape, size and appearance. The main requirement shared by cactus selections is excellent drainage and careful watering.
