Astilbe Brautschleier, also known as 'Bridal Veil' are hardy, flowering perennials that grow well in moist, shady locations and are known for their white, graceful, feathery, plume-like flower spikes and attractive fern-like foliage that dies back in the autumn and re-grows during spring.  They are popular for adding texture and colour to gardens, especially in woodland settings, borders, and near water.
